We got married 6 years ago and we expected  that latest in the following few months we would conceive. After a year we started medical tests and procedures and were on it for a couple of years. Of course we were  fasting, praying, believing and waiting on God.

I met an old friend of mine who had adopted  four years back and I became inquisitive about
adoption. She told me about the process and I told my husband who became very interested.

We started praying and we told our Pastor who gave us his full support. We decided not to tell
anyone about our plan in order to avoid  discouragement from them. We started the procedure
which happened not to be so easy as we thought but God gave us the favour all the way.

A lot of people believe adoption is as easy as waking up in the morning and going to orphanage to pick a baby. It is a lot  more than that it needs to be done prayerfully and one has to be led by God.

We met our baby on the second day of her birth. She was dumped in front of a police station in
a Lagos suburb and was brought by the policemen to the orphanage we registered with.

We knew she was ours immediately we laid our  eyes on her and she has since a source of joy
and happiness to us.

We face a lot of challenges with our immediate family and even friends but we were not moved
because they do not have the revelation and vision that we have.

The adoption of our daughter brought my husband and I closer. Some people told us that it is
because we do not have faith that God will give us our own biological children that we decided
to adopt. But we told them that adoption does not mean we have lost faith because we believe that
our daughter will have more siblings from us.

We thank God for showing us this unique favour and grace to have done what we did. A lot of
people out there wish they could do the same but they just do not have the grace.
